How to prepare your bathroom this Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is just under a week away, if you haven’t planned a dinner date or bought your significant other anything special then don’t worry – you can still surprise them with a nice, relaxing and romantic evening in. Start the evening off with a home-made meal, with candles to set the mood, then move to the bathroom for a relaxing bubble bath. Treat your partner to some champagne and flowers to make the evening even better.

Here are a few tips on how to prepare your bathroom this Valentine’s Day:

Lighting
Dim the lights and place some candles around the bathroom. To make an even more relaxing environment, use scented candles of choice to add an even more romantic feel. Make sure that all candles are well ventilated and aren’t surrounded by any flammable materials as something catching fire may make your Valentine’s Day memorable but not for the right reasons…

Music
Create a playlist that both you and your partner like and enjoy listening to together. If you aren’t the most creative person when it comes to making a play list, there are many music apps that will have free access to them, like Spotify.

Nothing says ‘i love you’ like champagne and rose petals surrounding the bath. If your partner doesn’t like roses then consider getting a bunch of their favourite flowers and displaying them on the vanity unit. If they hate flowers altogether, get chocolates or their favourite food for them to enjoy whilst bathing.

Try to be original rather than pulling out all the cliches. Think of ideas that you know only your partner would love and enjoy as this will make their evening extra special and memorable for them.
