Vintage bathroom decor

Vintage bathroom decor is coming back into fashion as more and more people have become interested in antiques shops and what they have to offer. Decorating your bathroom with vintage accents is now a chic and stylish way to fuse the past with the present. For many of us vintage makes us think of claw foot baths, pedestal sinks and the colour avocado but vintage now has many other sides to it that aren’t so garish. Here is some of our top tips for a bathroom with a vintage twist:

Small accessories
Focus on small details like soap dishes, taps and door knobs. There’s no point splashing the cash on a brand new bath and sink if there’s nothing wrong with the ones you already have. Small details are a cost effective way to add a vintage twist to your bathroom with ease. You can find so many things in antique shops now you might be surprised, and at a fraction of the cost too!

Mirror
Again, visit your local antique centre and you might be amazed by what you can find. A large mirror with a gold or silver border will be perfect to add to your bathroom to give it that vintage tweak.

Shower curtains
This is a more old fashioned, vintage bathroom decor idea but if you are willing to push the boat out, search for some shower curtains in a bright and vibrant pattern. If you walls already have a pattern on them think of getting a plain shower curtains that suit the vintage era like avocado, yellow or orange. Now you are one step closer to creating the vintage bathroom of your dreams.
