4 handy tips to keep a clean bathroom

We all have a busy lifestyle and want to relax at the weekends but there’s always cleaning on your mind. You try to delay the bathroom cleaning the longest as it’s always too much hassle! On average people spend 5 hours a week cleaning whether that be after work or in your free time, who would have thought it! Unless your house is full of active children who are always creating a mess of course. Below i have listed 4 ways which will help maintain a clean bathroom and make this chore much more effortless.

  1. Mirrors
If you have a mirror cleaning spray handy, great, simply spray away and wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth. If not, no worries, you can make up a quick 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water. Spray the solution all over the mirror and wipe away with a soft, clean and dry cloth (micro-fibre is the best option!). This solution can also be used on shower screens and similar surfaces.
  2. Hoover
Grab the hoover and use the nozzle to suck up any unwanted hair, dust and dirt. The grab an old cloth and wipe all the surfaces down to get rid of any grease and grim left behind from soap.
  3. Odour
Is there a funny damp smell in your bathroom? Well get an almost finish scented candle and a slice of orange and put it under the radiator in the bathroom. Turn the radiator on to a high heat, light the candle and leave it to burn for a few hours then it will smell fresh as a daisy again! You can pick up scented candles from most pound shops meaning this is an easy fix!
  4. Toilet
If the inside of your toilet is looking a little worse for wear then grab a can of coke and pour it around the edges of the bowl, leave to soak, and then scrub away.
